A Memorial in Seaport Square
Seaport Square’s recent completion was distinguished by the dedication of the park’s Massachusetts Fallen Heroes Memorial on May 27th. In the heart of the Seaport District, the 50’ reflective steel obelisk, designed by James Carpenter Design Associates, rises as a beacon along Northern Avenue, one block from the harbor’s edge. Speakers including Governor Baker, Mayor Walsh, and retired General Kelly honored Massachusetts Gold Star Families and provided a moving tribute to those we have lost in service In the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts.
