April Maly

Associate

April loves to talk, teach, and learn about plants. She grew up in Cedar Grove, New Jersey in a family of gardeners and landscapers who taught her about the seasonal cycles of landscape. She holds a BS in Environmental Planning & Design from Rutgers University, a hands-on education rooted in ecology and community outreach. April brings professional experience from offices on the East and West coasts, including LeBlanc Jones, Offshoots Inc., Walker Macy, and Anne Penniman Associates where she was involved in a range of projects including residential, institutional, commercial, and interactive temporary installations. She joined Reed Hilderbrand in 2022 and contributes to the Volpe District Redevelopment in Kendall Square, Massachusetts, a residence in New York state, and a corporate retreat in Virginia. Outside of work, April serves on the BSLA Awards committee and has reviewed portfolios, developed curricula, and sat in on classes as a Rutgers Landscape Architecture Alumni committee member. She loves to visit Plum Island and the Arnold Arboretum and doodles in a sketchbook to record meaningful experiences.
