The Center for Architecture in New York City will host the exhibition The Landscape Architecture Legacy of Dan Kiley, co-curated by Charles A. Birnbaum, Amanda Shull, and Nord Wennerstrom of The Cultural Landscape Foundation through June 20, 2015. An event celebrating the exhibition’s New York appearance will feature Gary Hilderbrand in conversation with Ken Smith. For “Contemporary Takes on Modernist Landscapes,” the pair will reflect on Kiley’s personal influence in their work, the role of modernist landscapes in shaping their own careers, and modernism’s ongoing cultural influence on contemporary design.
