Originating as a provisioning farm dating to 1760, Stone Acres Farms is to be restored as a farm campus and events center that supports a new era of artisanal foods and ecologically-based farming practices. Reed Hilderbrand served as lead planner and designer for the master plan.

Descendants of the original owners are reviving Stone Acres Farm’s legacy on a rehabilitated campus with new buildings and contemporary, ecologically-based land use practices. This includes ecologically-based farming — high production vegetable fields, orchards, compost production, field crops, range land management — along with ecological restoration of important wetland forests and shrublands.

At Stone Acres Farm, improvements include the revival and expansion of a historic house and farm buildings along with new buildings and infrastructure. As part of a farm-to-table concept, Stone Acres will grow to provide space for local food artisans including a brewer, chef, cheese maker, baker and teaching kitchen. These spaces will be connected to multi-use events spaces.
