National Academy of Design Elects Gary Hilderbrand Academician

We’re excited to share that Gary Hilderbrand is one of 12 artists and architects elected as National Academicians in the class of 2026 by the National Academy of Design. This honor recognizes contributions to contemporary American art and architecture.

“We are thrilled to welcome these twelve artists and architects as members of the National Academy of Design,” said Gregory Wessner, Executive Director of the National Academy of Design. “Each year, the election of new National Academicians reflects the breadth and diversity of cultural practice in America. As the first class of Academicians to be inducted in our third century, the Class of 2026 beautifully reflects the energy and promise of the Academy’s future.”
