The freedom of students to move and mix among Green Mountains vistas gives expression to a very special curriculum and academic philosophy. Reed Hilderbrand authored the college’s landscape framework plan in 2005, and we have continued to play a role in numerous new facilities and landscapes, including the award-winning Center for Advancement of Public Action. Over the next fifteen years, the landscape framework plan continued to guide decisions about the campus. When a new president initiated a new post-pandemic planning study for Bennington’s future, Reed Hilderbrand and WXY Architecture and Urban Design teamed to co-author it.
