Across 18 years of work on this 250-acre campus, Reed Hilderbrand been a constant, unifying presence, achieving a broad institutional vision through incremental, economical change. New spaces for residential and student life, teaching, admissions, and research are integrated into the rugged topography of the Brandeis University Campus, reinforcing a unified character that shapes experience.
Through seven discrete projects with five different architects, all achieved under significant budget pressures, we have worked to defend and develop tenets of the Chan Krieger's 2000 Campus Master Plan.
The deep knowledge of the campus and strong relationship with the University allowed us to adapt the master plan to changing needs and emerging ambitions rather than starting the planning process anew. The flexibility of this relationship, based on open dialogue and trust, has allowed projects to proceed quickly and efficiently from concept to realization.
