LSU Comprehensive and Strategic Master Plan

Baton Rouge, Louisiana

In the face of new levels of government support and dramatic changes to the delivery and purposes of higher education, LSU sought to adapt its campus plan. Reed Hilderbrand contributed to a practical, flexible framework for development and capital investment on the campus and in the community over the next decade and beyond.

The culture, heritage, and diversity of Louisiana State University’s physical campus are addressed respectfully, even as Reed Hilderbrand advanced contemporary solutions to traffic, pedestrian experience, open space, and maintenance. In response to 2016 severe storms, LSU selected to immediately pilot green infrastructure solutions developed as part of the Plan’s landscape core.
